About Us

We're a family of four – two parents and our two boys in their tween years, with endless energy and huge appetites – who live near Twickenham but escape to the Isle of Wight as often as we can.

Our love affair with the Island began unexpectedly during the 2020 lockdown. A cancelled overseas trip led us to a two-week stay on the Isle of Wight, where we fell head over heels for the Island, painted more rosy by the heatwave that summer! Spontaneously, we bought a static caravan, fulfilling a childhood dream for us both. I cherished childhood holidays on the Island, while my husband yearned to recreate the magic of his own family's caravanning adventures in Wales.

Now, we take every opportunity to escape to the Island, whether it's during school holidays or a weekend getaway. We crave the space, the tranquillity, and the stunning natural beauty. It's the perfect antidote to the hustle and bustle of London life.

Over the past four years, we've dedicated ourselves to exploring the Island's hidden gems, whether it be a newly opened restaurant or attending a local event. Yet, even familiar places offer endless surprises. The Duver beach, our local favourite, changes constantly – the shape of the beach shifts with the tides, the sea changes colour, and the landscape unfolds in ever-new ways.

While our boys might prefer gaming indoors, we encourage them to embrace the outdoors, rain or shine. They get stuck in, literally, wading through the mud banks of the estuary, plucking crabs from rock pools with their hands or scrambling over rocks to hidden coves.

We want to share with you and your family the wonders we have discovered on the Isle of Wight, enabling you to create your own unforgettable memories.

Good luck with your adventures, and do share new discoveries!
